Problems with Divide Plus

Actually the software (fatware, DEMFIR etc) does not work in the +3, only by working residos RAM. I think the easiest is to change the eeprom as it is in socket. How I can I get in touch with you to get the EEPROM, and under what conditions a private email to give you my address?

Hello again.
First of all thanks for sending me the eeprom.
Arrived yesterday at the eeprom memory, I have changed the "divide +", I have loaded the firmware selector and have it tested. Unfortunately it does exactly the same with the new eeprom. This has since changed the battery, the GALs, and EEPROM; must fail another component. I'll try to record a video for you to help me diagnose the fault.

It is a shame that there appears to be a problem with your interface, but without knowing what the previous user did with it, it is very hard to diagnose the problem.

I have asked Piotr if he would have a look, but by the time you add in his charges for repair, plus the return postage, it is probably not worth it.

If you send the interface to me, I can have a look at it and possibly offer a replacement if I can't find and resolve the issue. Unfortunately, it sounds as though you have tried changing all of the replaceable chips - so it could be an issue with the cf adaptor itself (I have had ones where a bad cf card has bent the pins back - no fault of the cf adaptor, but the cf card itself!)

Unfortunately, by the time you add in the costs of sending the interface to Piotr and his time to repair the interface, it would probably cost around £40 - £45.

I could offer you a trade in for a replacement DivIDE Plus for £45 - if you return the non-working one to me, and we can at least use some of the parts, rather than repairing it...

The other option would of course, just be to send your interface to me first and I will test it here and see if it is just a matter of swapping one of the chips
