DivIDE case prototype

I thought sharing some photos of my prototype perspex case may interest some of you - I've put some pictures on my website:

I have an old DivIDE board with a horizontal CF adapter.

I'd be very interested to hear what other DivIDE owners think of it!

Actually, a lot of people ask about cases for the original DivIDE - I quite like the appeal of a perspex case, but have two reservations:

a) The sharp edges and possibility of scratching the ZX Spectrum!
b) Whether a version would be possible which allowed for vertical mounting of the CF slot also as this seems quite popular.

My case design needs some refinement to smoothen the edges. It doesn't overlap the Spectrum itself though so there's very little contact between the case and the computer.

The vertical mounting CFs make for a slightly greater challenge. The main problem is I don't have one to work with at the moment so I only have ideas.

I'm thinking of doing a small run of a refined version of the case in the future, if there's enough interest

I guess it all depends on cost really and how many people have the horizontally mounted CF card adaptors.

I could of course help you market this product if you wanted to do it for some profit.

I've seen some of these cases before - there's some good ideas about.

I'll be gauging interest before progressing my design - if anyone's interested in a refined version of the case I'm offering (for horizontal CFs only at the moment) drop me an email or pm. Cost will depend on how many produced and materials, I'd estimate around £15.
