Using DivIDE Plus with the Spectrum +3

A recent query has shown how best to use the DivIDE Plus with the Spectrum +3 computer.

If you install the Spectrum +3e ROMs on the Spectrum +3, you will need to use the +3e ROM to talk with floppy disk drives and the compact flash (or hard disk) on the DivIDE Plus - see details of the Spectrum +3e upgrade.

In order to do this, you need to disable the DivIDE Plus firmware, by removing the Flash EPROM jumper at the rear of the interface.

You can then use the +3e formatting and partitioning commands on the compact flash card or hard disk.
