+Divide + Fatware/ResiDOS/...

+DivIDE more (G+Dos emulation) uses virtual floppies in the beginning of the CF card. It's said that sector 0 (Partition table) is safe.

So, an idea would be to make two partitions on the CF card then delete the first one to leave room for the +DivIDE mode and use the second one as FAT.

Windows don't allow you to partition a CF card... But you may do it by using a Linux boot disk with the fdisk tool. CF card will be seen as a SCSI peripheral. Keep in mind that when creating a partition under linux, default partition type is Ext2/Ext3 so, you'll have to change to type 6 (FAT16).

A windows tool to do all the process could be useful...
A dialog showing the CF size, the number of +Divide disks and the size of the remaining partition, allowing to change the number of +Divide disks. When clicking on OK, it'd change the partitions and format the FAT partition...

That would be an excellent idea - if only someone could write the relevant Windows tool!
